Powerex is NZ’s most powerful & cost-effective rechargeable batteries & smart chargers. The Best AA Rechargeable batteries just got better with the arrival of the 2nd generation Powerex PRO Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries with a FREE storage case valued $5.65.

The Powerex PRO AA 2nd Generation (2.0) batteries boast improved performance in extreme temperatures and in heavy use, and can retain up to 60% of their charge after 5 years in storage. Pair with one of Maha Powerex's smart chargers for optimum performance and life.

The Powerex MH-C980 Turbo Charger-Analyzer charges up to 8 AA or AAA nickel-metal hydride batteries in approximately 1 hour. This charger is the best combination of an 8-cell charger with battery health analyzing features. It has a special One-Touch Battery Health Analyzer with an actual capacity readout to provide the most accurate data. The Turbocharge mode allows you to charge your batteries twice as fast while the default mode will maximize battery life. With the Thermal Management System, your batteries will stay cool during charge. For older batteries, you can use the Deep Battery Conditioning System to revitalize them. The large backlit LCD display allows you to take quick glance at the charging status.

Powerex is comparable to Sanyo/Panasonic Eneloop

Unlike traditional NiMH batteries, the Powerex Pro batteries can be stored for an extended period of time without substantial loss of power and are ready to use out-of-package. A common problem that plagues rechargeable batteries is that they need to be recharged about once every one to three months even if they are not used. This issue was tackled by developing advanced electrode materials to reduce the rate of power loss during storage. As a result, the Powerex PRO batteries retain up to 75% of their charge even after one year of storage.

The Powerex PRO batteries differ from the competition in that they boast higher capacities as well as increased power retention in storage. The Powerex Pro batteries can be recharged hundreds of times and perform extraordinarily well at elevated temperatures. In addition, the Powerex Pro batteries feature a low-impedance design and can deliver a high burst of current.
