This filter can be used to shoot flowers, insects, jewellery, water drops, and more. With this close-up filter, you will become a member of the micro world. A free protective filter pouch is included in the package to protect the filter from impacts and scratches.

Features/Specs

  • Small and lightweight
  • Much less expensive than dedicated macro lenses too
  • Close-up filters have diopter ratings  +2, +4, +8 +10 inset. When stacked, they provide more magnification than if only one close-up filter was used.
  • Comes in its own carry case

Kit Includes

  • 1x Closeup Macro Lens Filter Set (+2, +4, +8, +10)

TIPS:

  • If you stack filters, the order you do so is important. Always put the strongest filter
(highest number) closest to the camera lens, then the next strongest, etc.
  • If using a standard filter and a close-up filter simultaneously, attach the close-ups first
    and the filter last.
  • Because close-up filters can decrease Depth of Field, use a smaller aperture to
    photograph the subject.

Q.
What kind of lenses are suitable for close-up filters?
A.
The close-up filter is designed based on a 50mm standard lens. The longer the focal length is, the more obvious effect will be (generally speaking, 70-200mm lenses are recommended). If you use wide-angle lenses to shoot, vignetting may be caused.
Q.
What is the meaning of +2, +4, +8, +10?
A.
+2, +4, +8, +10 represent different diopters of close-up filters. The larger the diopter is, the closer the focus distance is and the higher the magnification is.
Q.
What is the focus distance of close-up filters?
A.
Taking the 50mm standard lens as an example, the nearest focus distance can be shortened as follows: the focus distance of close-up lens +2 is about 50cm; the focus distance of close-up lens +4 is about 25cm; the focus distance of close-up lens +8 is about 12.5cm; the focus distance of close-up lens +10 is about 10cm".
Q.
Why tripod + manual focusing are recommended when using a close-up filter?
A.
Tripod + manual focusing is recommended when using a close-up filter because autofocus is often difficult when the focal length is too long.
